Roaming Studios are designed for the following participants.  You are an independent type. Who can organise your own transportation, insurance and are comfortable handling all the details of your travel outside of our adventures. You want to enjoy a creative break and an in-depth travel experience with kindred spirits. Picking up some new skills and creating things for fun, for the process. You are a photographer, writer, scrappy multi-media-ist, journal creator, tinkerer, urban sketcher, painter, hobbyist, crafter, simply curious, history buff, nerd. You have a project that's been itching at you to focus on. You can enjoy all the above, and a dedicated space before and/or after the retreat at a local artist's studio that we can arrange with them. You support one of the above!

Many of us have had to prioritise other things above our own creativity and the enjoyment it once gave us. We may of just been 'doing capitalism' for a long time.This adventure is to remember the experience of immersing ourselves in a task that requires nothing. It doesn't need to be perfect, neat or complete. It has the calm of zero pressure, of low stakes and of simple enjoyment. Creating things is just a way to enjoy this sensation again.

Yes - We have Boutique and Luxury stays available.Or, you can find your own. Hoi An has ample accommodation at all levels and transport is inexpensive and easy. However - Hoi An is popular. So booking in advance is highly recommended!

Yes, you can come with your own project to focus on. We have partnered with some local studios for you to focus on larger scale works, before / after the retreat. Contact us to discuss further.However, if you'd like to develop your practice with a dedicated instructor in your medium, we can recommend fabulous art residencies in the area.

Roaming Studios are designing a friendly and supportive environment. We are queer friendly, neurospicy inclusive and encourage good energy, curiosity and kindness. We welcome contact from local artists in the region who are interested in joining, and we offer a few places at a lower rate to accomodate these different currencies. We can welcome those between 15 years old and 18 that are supported and cared for by a parent or guardian. For further information please email admin@roamingstudios.art Our stays can all be altered to include a partner and a cot for a smaller child. Bring the family!
